An Alpine skiing track will be opened in the village of Ruba near Vitebsk by this winter season, BelTA learnt in the physical culture, sport and tourism department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.

The skiing track is located 15 kilometres away from Vitebsk. You can reach by public transport. The downhill length is around 300 metres. A ski rental centre will be located at the foot of the track.  

According to specialists of the sport and tourism department, during 11 ski-tracks, more than 40 skating-rinks, 9 sports outfit rental centres will operate this winter season.

The ski-tracks and skating-rinks will be prepared by educational and sports establishments, house administrations, companies. All the works are expected to be finished by December 15.
